Hi, my name is Simone. I have Cerebral Palsy and I live in Victoria.
I waited for more than 109 days to get SDA into my plan.
It took 9 months to get the paperwork in and that was even before the 5 months until you get the SDA up and running.
It then took me more than 2 years to move into my SDA.
The wait time made me feel extremely anxious, there was a lot of tears and there was a lot of uncertainty.
“I just felt hopelessness”
When my SDA approval came through, I would have jumped for joy if I could have. Now I am finally living in my SDA home, and I couldn’t be happier.
